CATCH 6-8

CATCH is the coordinated school health program that was chosen by Poolville ISD. CATCH stands for the Coordinated Approach To Child Health. CATCH is a process that builds an alliance of parents, teachers, child nutrition personnel, school staff, and community partners to teach children and their families how to be healthy for a lifetime. Effective coordinated school programs reinforce positive healthy behaviors throughout the day and make it clear that good health and learning go hand in hand. The four CATCH components -

  1. GO FOR HEALTH Classroom Curriculum,
  2. CATCH PHYSICAL EDUCATION,
  3. EAT SMART School Nutrition Guide,
  4. Family HOME TEAM activities reinforce positive healthy behaviors throughout a child's day.
